Hey, wow—a shiny thing. Friday There are books that I have written but not published. For a long time, I’ve thought of making them public. This week, I came up with a really good reason to publish them and more like them, and I could do it soon. It would mean some changes to theContinue reading “WIP: Friday Spinning Wheels”
Didn’t get on schedule, but got close. Thursday Better day. Met my steps and almost my words. I’m thinking that I don’t like these daily posts. I like posting the words and steps, but I think there’s probably a better way to do it. I might switch to making the WIP posts every few days.Continue reading “WIP: Good Thursday”
Another day trying to get on schedule. Wednesday I didn’t get on the schedule I’d like to, but I did get some good work done. I spent a big chunk of time cycling through my vampires book, confirming details, adding flavor, whatnot, then another chunk of time putting in new words, which was good. ThisContinue reading “WIP: Cycling Wednesday”
Still moving up. Tuesday Another day of writing. Continued to get projects revved up. Wrote words and walked steps. I’m keeping this short because I’m working to do these posts in the evening; early to bed and early to rise and all that. More tomorrow.
Here we go. Monday The day started with walking my daughter to school, which helped me get most of my 10K steps in. During the day I worked to get organized and moving forward, despite some annoying interruptions. When I was writing The Desert King, decades ago now, I had a mystical experience. Basically, I asked the future me to, if writing The Desert King was the right pursuit for me, give me a sign. Which I immediately got. I mean immediately. So, I buckled down and finished it. Alas, The Desert KingContinue reading “The Desert King 99 Cents 1/23 – 1/29”
Sundays have been the worst. This is the last one. Sunday It went more or less as always: Up late, some time with my daughter, some time with my parents, grocery shopping, running a poker tournament, home late. The answer, of course, is to get up early and get some good work in. Yes.
It was a typical Saturday. That’s the problem. Saturday Woke late. Partial morning routine. Family stuff. Had to run a poker tournament. Came back wiped out. Rested. Got a little work done late, but should have just slept. Tomorrow will be a little better, and Monday and the rest of the week will rock. NextContinue reading “WIP: Last Bad Saturday”
That guy sure is a good con man. 15% of the country can’t see it. At all. Friday Morning routine. Daughter to school. Lots of good work before being distracted. Distraction of the day decade Today, of course, one of the worst possible things happened. The wealthiest 1% managed to seize illegitimate control of myContinue reading “WIP: Hard To Work”
So, our country has arrived at a turning point. I suppose it’s a happy day for the roughly 20% of eligible voters that voted for Trump and the 1% of the wealthiest Americans for who will benefit from the Republican policies. For the rest of us, however, at a minimum we are deeply embarrassed inContinue reading “A New Era”
