WIP: Six Days To Go

I’m so excited. And a little sad.

Got up early for a change, though I didn’t get enough sleep to make it a good idea. After my morning routine, I had the day with my daughter. I’m excited that both she and I are entering into new and exciting phases in our lives. But I’m sad, too, because this phase of our days together is almost over, and we may never get another one. I sure do love that little girl. With not enough rest, my day was not very productive, but I did get some good work done.

Vampires Versus Comicon

[Cover of Vampires Versus Comicon: A Novel by T.F. Torrey] Last night I heard the screams of the first victim, but today it took me a long time to figure out where they were coming from. Much of the plot is currently a mismatched set of half-baked ideas, which isn’t a bad thing on the whole. However, in this case, I knew that Vance and the crew were meeting the first victim here, but if I ever had a complete thought worked out on what was happening and who was doing it, I coudn’t recall it. Worse, what I thought was going on didn’t match the opening. So, instead of writing forward, I had to spend time, and not a little of it, figuring out what was going on. I think in the end, but then, I thought I did before. By the time I figured it out, though, I was too tired to write it out. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow.
