It’s hard work making it look easy.
Mostly typical: Woke late, Miracle Morning, day with daughter, a little laundry, out to Tempe for my business/marketing meeting, dinner, home. Some work done, but not nearly enough.
Vampires Versus Comicon
I don’t remember another book with a beginning as complicated as this one. There are so many things that have to be placed in the right order for what happens on down the line. On one hand, it’s interesting, because I like having all the elements out in plain sight right from the beginning, but on the other hand, what a lot of work weaving everything together. And it’s easy for the narrative to get carried away and bloat the beginning. I spent some time tonight shifting things back a chapter or two where I could, and everything isn’t quite worked out yet, but it’s getting there, and after that, the rest of the book should just cruise.
I need to get this done.
