WIP: Fun and Productive Day

Monday

In the morning, I took my daughter to spend the day with my parents, which made all of them happy. In the evening, they brought her back, which made me happy. In between, I was able to focus on my books and get some good work done.

Angel of Death

[Cover of Angel of Death: A Victor Storm Novel by T.F. Torrey] I wanted to finish this book today, but that hope turned out to be a little naive. Most of the scenes were moved out of their original positions for the restructuring into Angel of Death, and I underestimated how much work it would be to make them fit into their new homes. In addition, I had to change the structure of Victor’s philosophy class to make it fit the new time frame, which meant adding a class and trimming content from others, and by the end of the day I had confused myself about what was happening in the class and when.

I was happy to add the dream scenes that I had eliminated earlier. When the book was running very long, I had to trim or jettison lots of content. In its new form, I am free to add whatever I think works. I like that.

Hopefully it will be done tomorrow.

Other projects

I also spent a couple hours today developing my next two projects. I don’t want to start writing them until I’m done with my current project, but I want to have the development going so it will be percolating in the back of my mind. The projects are looking good!
