WIP: Slowly Recovering

I still felt like I was de-stressing from the Wednesday situation, and it was hard to get in gear.

Plus, Spring Rains has been a very difficult, slow book to write. I don’t know why. I’ve seen lots of theories about why things are hard to write and how to avoid that, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to make Spring Rains go faster. Yes, I know that in the grand scheme of things it will be done soon-ish and many writers always only write books at this pace, but I don’t like it.

Part of the problem is definitely that the longer it takes, the longer it takes. I have so many parts and revisions of parts that it is a slow grind to crunch out a final, fluid version. It would have been so much better to write this straight through quickly. Luckily, after I get through this, I will be able to do just that for (most of) the rest of my upcoming projects.
