WIP: Getting Oars Aligned

In the morning I took my daughter to spend most of the day with my parents, and I had some good writing time.

After analyzing the options with my covers, I decided to go with what I call my “2016 standard” style. I changed a few books over, and I’ll change the rest in the next few days. I can imagine that some people might disparage them, but I love them, and I think those people are idiots.

Spring Rain Chapter 9 of 24

[Cover of Spring Rains: A Victor Storm Novel by T.F. Torrey] Work on Spring Rains was a struggle. I was working on Chapter 9, which I had been rewriting to try to reframe what is basically an information dump. It’s been tough because it doesn’t strike me as very good. Whether it truly is good or not is something I will never know. At any rate, that part of the story has to happen to get to the next part. I may revisit this part of the narrative, but for now it’s legible and functional. Meager words of praise, I know.

I worked late into the night, but was only able to complete Chapter 9. That leaves 15 chapters to complete. To meet my goals, I need to get at least three chapters a day over the next five days. It will be tough.
