I can’t believe it was ten years ago that I was writing the Crusader serial for Keep It Coming. The Crusader serial was about the adventures of a former Special Forces soldier using his training and skills to change the world for the better. Unfortunately, Keep It Coming folded before I got very far into the project (and before I was paid).
Some time after that, I had the idea to tell what had happened to turn the Special Forces soldier into a vigilante. That turned into a plan for four books, one in every season. In the first, Winter Kills, the soldier, whose name is Victor Storm, experiences a deep personal tragedy and first gives in to the urge to become a vigilante. That wasn’t supposed to be the end of the series, but it was for a long time.
Now I’m hard at work n the second, Spring Rains. In it, Victor Storm is looking for trouble and trying to figure out what is the right thing for him to do. He’s also taking lots of chances, and some of them come back to bite him.
Hopefully I will have Spring Rains done and released very soon. In the meantime, however, if you haven’t already read Winter Kills, you should pick it up this week, because it’s a countdown deal at Amazon, available for 99 cents! Make sure you get it for yourself and tell your friends, and also make sure you’re signed up for my mailing list so that you can get Spring Rains as soon as it’s available. It’s going to be fun.
