Writing In Public: Year 1, Month 1, Day 19

Wednesday Blues

After another late night, I awoke mid-morning Wednesday. I worked on e-mail in what was left of the morning, made my daughter and myself a nice lunch, then worked on Taxi Adventure some while she took a nap. All too soon, it was time to go to the side job, and by the time I got back from there I was more tired than I expected. It all added up to a day long on responsibility and short on writing focus.

The writing this day dragged, mostly because I’m in a section where I’m filling in blanks from only the roughest notes, and as I work out what exactly happened the scenes get shifted around so the flow continues to work. I felt as though I made good progress, but as the discarding and rewriting continues, the total additional words for the day was a dismal 500.

Nonetheless, the end is looming large in front of me now. There are still things that will take time to figure out, and a lot of words to write, but it feels like the pace is picking up and I’ll be done soon.
