Haiku Every Day

Reading Barry Eisler’s excellent John Rain series piqued my interest in Japanese culture, going over my own website for my 10K Challenge reminded me that I like to write poems sometimes and wish I did more of it, and reading Marie Kondo’s The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up made me think of how my own interest in simplicity can align with writing poems. Putting these together a few days ago, I wrote a simple haiku. The next day I wrote another. Now, I seem to be writing a new haiku every day. For now, I’m posting them in my Anomalies collection to my weblog. I don’t know where they will go in the long run. If some of them are worth reading, they will probably end up in a book.
