For days and months and years, my writing “career” has languished on the brink of getting serious. The problem, at root, was that I didn’t know what I could do that would actually work. Sure, writing books is a good step, but what else? Now, I think I know. And what’s more, I think I can do it. All I need is applied effort.
So, I’ve decided to test my ideas and my mettle with a challenge to sell 10,000 books this spring (actually, ISO calendar weeks 14-26 of 2015, from March 30th to June 27th). If I’m right, this will be a springboard to something amazing. If I’m wrong, it will be a big, public, embarrassing failure. Either way, it should be fun to watch the action. I’ve set up a page to for the challenge, and I’ll be posting updates more or less daily on this weblog.
Feel free to e-mail me words of encouragement.
And tell your friends.
