O.M.G. It has literally been years. And years. And so much anguish over how likable Jack is, and how dark the story is, and ugh, all of it. And now, it is my pleasure to announce that The Crazy Jack has been declared complete and released to the presses. Finally!
I think I owe a special debt of gratitude to Johnny B. Truant, Sean Platt, and David Wright of the Self Publishing Podcast for the snippet of advice that helped to end my endless tinkering with this: Perfect is the enemy of done.
With that advice, and a ton of hard work, The Crazy Jack is now done. It is surely not perfect, but I really do love it. I love the dark cover and the not-crazy opening and how Jack is so sincere, but so lost. There is a lot to love about the book and I will post a list soon. For now, I am just thrilled that it is finally out the door, so I can move on to The Dancing Queen.
The Crazy Jack is already available at Smashwords, and it will soon be live at Amazon, Kobo, and others.
This is a great day.
