Thanks for your endorsement! I actually detest posting about changes to the structure of the site, and I try not to invest too much time into it. Still, I do like to have some idea of what I'm doing, and I don't want to scare off my favorite people (my readers) by moving stuff around without letting them know what I'm doing. I'll get back to work now.

The concept of ECM is great if you only ever want/need to read your mail online. But beware if you actually want them to physically ship any item of your mail to you. They don't just forward it through USPS like most services do. Instead, they insist on using expensive couriers like DHL, UPS, or FedEx. Thus, in my case, it cost $10 to ship even a single envelope (and I live in a major U.S. city located halfway across the country from ECM's sorting facility. It would be pricier if I lived on the East Coast or abroad.) They do not disclose these high shipping rates up front when you sign up for the service. I didn't find out about the shipping rates until I had received my first critical piece of mail. I was forced to pay $10 to ship that piece of mail, and I asked them to cancel my account after that ... which they did, but they did not inform me until after it was canceled that they would not issue a refund for the remaining months of the year I had paid in advance.

TF--it's been a while since I've been around! But I've been working hard!

I was told that the different between lie and lay was human vs. an inanimate object. You "lay" a book on a table, you "lie" down on a bed. Like a person from China is never "Oriental"--that term is reserved for rugs and vases.

Perhaps not, but it's a pretty big mistake for someone trying to be a "real" writer.
